  • David Hayes   ( 1 Article )

David Hayes is an award-winning writer and performer that, for reasons he keeps locked and chained in a seldom used part of his brain, chooses to work almost exclusively in the horror field. His films, like Back Woods, Machined, Sportkill and Dark Places, are direct-to-DVD juggernauts. He is currently working his first novel and awaiting the debut of Rottentail, his comic book 3-issue mini-series from Arcana Studios. He is appalled that “Rights of the Living Dead” has found a home.

  • Lanaia Lee   ( 18 Articles )

Lanaia Lee is a 46-year-old stroke survivor that suffered a stroke at 35 due to high blood pressure. Her disease is called erratic hypertension. Ever since the stroke Lanaia has been in a wheelchair but she hasn’t let that stop her one bit! In Lanai’s own words "I still rock and roll, and I mean literally roll!" Lanaia has also lost six children due to her problem with blood pressure, leaving her with no living children, except for her 3 year old Jack Russell Terrier. He is her baby and constant companion. She has been married to a wonderful husband for ten years, who is also in a wheelchair, but they live totally independently and on their own. Although according to Lanaia "this factor does make life interesting! But we face each challenge with the help of God" Her grandmother, a self-professed black witch, raised Lanaia after her mother died when she was eight years old. So why does Lanaia write such dark poetry? In Lanaia's words " I guess being raised with the occult and supernatural explains why I have such a knack for dark poetry. Writing is one of the few things I can do that relaxes me. I will probably write for as long as I live because this is something that I really love to do. God gave me this literary gift, so why not use it?"

I am a married father of a beautiful daughter named Hailey. She's two and wonderful. I work as a front desk clerk at a small hotel in Victoria. I am also an aspiring writer and have completed two books thus far, and am close to completing a third. I am a writer of suspense, thriller and horror. While I enjoy writing short stories, novels are what I love best. I read everything that has even the smallest chance of scaring me, I guess because I'm a thrill seeker. I enjoy the way my heart races when I get into a good book or movie, and I revel in the way I startle so easy.

I've been writing since I was maybe 13, my poem here "Mother Dear" was my very first.
I was at one time working on a book called "Bitter Loss"...full of short stories and poems. I had about 200 or so pages, until a vengeful ex destroyed my only copies. Since then I can't seem to want to take it up anymore. My most recent is "Unborn", written when I had an ectopic pregnancy that almost killed me, losing the baby I had tried for 11 years to have.

He is otherwise sane; though this is his first foray into horror so that might change.
